We’re leaving for Italy today, a honeymoon I’d only imagined in my dreams.
First stop: Venice
The wedding was also a dream: chaotic, beautiful, loud, and full of laughter and dancing, which are the same things, really.
Paparazzi
I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day, a better man, a more loving family (Spanish or American).
See you after Italy! Blogging and honeymoons that involve Venice, Florence, and Rome don’t really mix …
Many congratulations, you look beautiful and terribly chic and sophisticated (and extremely happy). Have a wonderful honeymoon!
Thank you — I was very happy!!
You both look radiantly happy! Felicidades!
Thank you!!
Congratulations! Enjoy the luna de miel!
We definitely did!
Kayley–congratulations to you and Mario & much luck as you embark on your new life in Madrid. I will eagerly be following your blog, although I am no longer an expat in Spain!
Thanks, Shannon! We have had a lot of “luck” this year, and we hope it continues on to the next!
enjoy and forget about the blog! I’ll think of you… my students this month are a very energetic groups of Italian teenagers!!! :)
Haha I find Italian teenagers quite similar to Spanish ones, what do you think?
i guess teenagers are quite the same in western cultures, but i can tell you they’re sort of “inaguantables”, haha
Congrats to you and Mario~ Enjoy your honeymoon!
We certainly did :)
A huge congrats to the two of you! Enjoy Italia, and ciao for now :)
Ohhh Italia was wonderful, if wayyyyy hot! That’s what we get for getting married in July, though.

Hi Kaley! Long-time lurker, first-time commenter who just wanted to say ¡felicidades! You both look lovely. Best wishes for your future. :D
Thanks for coming out of lurkdom, Bex! :)
Have a wonderful honeymoon! Lovely for you to share with us. Enhorabuena!
Thank you; we had a greaaaaaaat time!
I am so glad to hear that! I am currently hosting 5 of my Armenian inlaws at my house in Ohio and I just wanted you to know, there are ups and downs and cultural misunderstandings and griping on both sides over the past 24 years happens now and then but their differences add a lot of richness and well, good times to my life too. I just had my coffee cup read by my MIL and had a great discussion catching up with my SIL! Once you have kids there is even more of a bond that grows between you and your inlaws. :-)
Congratulations! Enjoy Venice and bring back some good pictures for us.
Cheers,
Andrew
Venice was great, but sooooo humid! We had an amazing time, like a dream though!
Congratulations!! Enjoy every minute of your honeymoon :) Hope you will share some of it with us! (I finally figured out how to comment here!)
I’m sorry you had to figure it out! I tried to fix things, but I’m not so good with the WordPress thing. I’ll have to look into it more later!
Congrats!!! Enjoy your honeymoon.
We did, so much! Thanks.
Congratulations Kaley!!! Have fun in Italy!! You look so so so so so beautiful…and it deserves even more “so’s” I can’t wait to here more about the wedding!!
Thanks, Laura! I definitely felt beautiful, but even more importantly: loved by so many people.
